How do I reschedule a family law case without an attorney?

I no longer have representation due to fees. My case is set for November 4th (1 week). How do I reschedule a family law case without an attorney?
Since many people handle their own family law cases most family courts have a self-help desk. Look at their website, or visit the court. How do I reschedule a family law case without an attorney?
Look up the rules of court in your state and follow those rules. There is probably a law library at the courthouse where the case will be heard. There may be a law library online (as there is in the state where I live).

As you probably already realize, going into something as complicated as a family law case without an attorney has considerable problems.

You can pay an attorney by the hour without having that person represent you and bill you for court appearance and the hours of preparation for the court appearance. Call an attorney and ask for a consultation. That $150 or so might partially make up for the disadvantage you will have of going into court without an attorney.

Are you absolutely certain that the other party does not have an attorney? If not, you might borrow money or sell something to pay for your attorney to take up your case in court. Facing a a represented party in a complex matter could be insurmountable.
