Will be a complainant in a criminal law case discriminate against me for a future law enforcement position?

I had someone charged with assault and threatening, and I wish to pursue a future in law enforcement. Will be a complainant in a criminal law case discriminate against me for a future law enforcement position?
You mean disqualify. (and it may depending on the individual department's rules which you are applying for)Will be a complainant in a criminal law case discriminate against me for a future law enforcement position?
It shouldnt have anything to do with your ability to practice law enforcement. Isnt it very american that the employer cant base his recruiting from anything other than your ability to do the job? why would it matter?
Using the law to ensure that your rights are respected isn't grounds for discrimination. The only possible exception I could see to that was if the accused was in law enforcement.
... being a complainant?

It won't affect you unless you filed a complaint against the person doing the hiring... that would be bad.
It shouldn't mean anything in terms of your future. Just be careful with the procedures and you should be fine.
