Illinois has some very protective laws regarding wages, so if it's a case that involves nonpayment of wages, I would look into hiring a lawyer ASAP!

Otherwise, if you're in Chicago, the Daley Center downtown has a free library on the 29th floor which is open to the public. The librarians are very helpful and can point you in the right direction. If you're not in Chicago, call the clerk of the court or a local bar association and ask if there is a legal library open to the public. Those will be the best places to search.Where is a good place to learn about Illinios law termilogy and to look up past cases that pertain to mine.?
